INNOCENT CHUKWUMA MBACHU

INNOCENTCHUKWUMA MBACHU is a Safety Professional in the shipping and aviation Industry of many years standing. He graduated from the University of Calabar in B.A (Hons) in English, 1983. He worked in Federal Polytechnic Afikpo as a Lecturer before joining the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria as Coordinator, Community Affairs Safety, Health, Environment & Security organizing HSE meetings of HRGE staff and contractors – Monitoring/Enforcing Health Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance of Human Resources General (East) (HRGE) contractors’ personnel – HRGE Worksite monitoring and control – Organising training of HRGE contractors’ personnel – Accident investigation in liaison with security department. He attended training in Hazard & Effect Management Process in 1998 and SPDC Crisis Management and Community Relations 1990 Industrial First Aid Nigeria Institute of Safety Professionals (NISP) Training levels 1,2,3 FRSC Training Traffic Management (2009 PH) FRSC Lagos State-occupational Hazards of Safety 2010 Crime Prevention and Security Management (UNIPORT 2001) Security Management Workshop, Nigeria Police, Rivers State Command 2002 British Safety Council Award, Health & Safety (Level 2) 2008 Member, Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals. He is a Director and Head, Maritime Security and Safety section and heads our Regional Head office in Portharcourt. He is married with children.
